Tsurugajo (Wakamatsu Castle)
Symbol of Aizu-Wakamatsu known as a fierce battlefield during the Boshin War. The red-tiled castle tower houses a local history museum with extensive materials on Aizu domain history and the Byakkotai. Approximately 1,000 cherry trees bloom in spring, with popular nighttime illumination.
