  • Sendai Castle Ruins (Aoba Castle)

    The headquarters of the Sendai Domain built by Date Masamune. Though the castle tower no longer exists, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Sendai city from the stone walls, rebuilt corner turret, and equestrian statue of Lord Masamune.

  • Zao Okama Crater

    A crater lake in the Zao mountain range. The water surface changes from blue-green to ultramarine depending on season and lighting, hence the name Goshikinuma. Accessible by drive or trekking.
