Tottori
Tottori Prefecture is located on the Sea of Japan side of the Chugoku region with an elongated east-west shape. It features one of Japan's premier dune landscapes, the Tottori Sand Dunes, and the sacred peak Mount Daisen, the highest in the Chugoku region. Dynamic nature is easily accessible. The sea offers Matsuba crab, while the land produces Nijisseiki pears and rakkyo scallions. Diverse hot spring destinations like Misasa Onsen and Kaike Onsen dot the prefecture, and it promotes itself as the "Starry Sky Prefecture" for excellent stargazing. Popular pilgrimage sites include Mizuki Shigeru Road and the Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory for manga and anime fans. Though small, the prefecture is packed with diverse attractions.
